Zonal Institute of Education & Training, Mumbai (ZIET Mumbai) is a teacher-training and professional-development institute established by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It focuses on Short Duration Workshops for Professional Development of KV Teachers and training of KVS personnel — especially teachers and academic leaders — to strengthen teaching and learning practices across schools.
ZIET Mumbai is one of five ZIETs in KVS and primarily serves the Western Zone, including states such as Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Gujarat, though participants from all over India attend its programmes.
It began functioning in April 2003 with the mission of enhancing professional competence and is equipped with training facilities including classrooms, digital resources, and a library.
